Interior Designer Ekaterina Yakovenko wins The Elite Awards 2025 for Villa Bionica

Russian interior designer Ekaterina Yakovenko, founder of JP Interiors Design, has won first place in the “Elite Luxury Residence” category at The Elite Awards 2025 with her project Villa Bionica, earning top recognition on the global stage.

Organized by the prestigious British publication Design et al, The Elite Awards celebrate the world’s most outstanding achievements in architecture and interior design. Participation is by invitation only, limited to a select group of internationally acclaimed studios that have previously received top scores in The Design et al awards program. Each year, the jury chooses the highest-ranking projects across residential, hospitality, aviation, and yacht design—forming an exclusive circle of the industry’s most respected names.

The 2025 award ceremony took place on 19 September at Jumeirah Capri Palace, bringing together leading designers of luxury yachts, hotels, private jets, and residences from around the world—underlining the event’s truly international prestige.

Villa Bionica: winning project

Villa Bionica is a 1,400 m² private residence in the Moscow region that embodies biomorphic design and the seamless integration of architecture and landscape. Defined by fluid, organic lines free from sharp angles, the villa combines natural materials such as dolomite, marble, rare granite, ash, and oak with cutting-edge Smart Home technology.

The designer’s approach

Working at the intersection of architecture, interior, and landscape design, Ekaterina Yakovenko creates holistic environments where every detail contributes to a unified vision. Her distinctive signature lies in integrating all elements of a project from the earliest stages, ensuring architectural and interior coherence. Beyond aesthetics, her designs prioritize functionality, advanced technology, and a sense of timelessness—spaces that remain relevant and elegant for years to come.

The Elite Awards mean more to me than recognition—they set a global benchmark for excellence,” says Yakovenko. “It’s an opportunity to connect with leading professionals worldwide and to keep growing, creatively and professionally.

Winning The Elite Awards 2025 in the Elite Luxury Residence category marks not only an acknowledgment of the project’s aesthetic value but also of its innovation, functionality, and relevance in contemporary luxury design.
